Ginseng Rootlets

Ginseng rootlets are a good alternative to planting seed for those individuals that are interested in having a mature plant immediately. 3 year old ginseng rootlets will provide you with seed bearing plants immediately. They also provide a very attractive plant for those individuals looking for something unique to plant. 5 year old ginseng rootlets may be transplanted or used fresh. They may also be dried for powdering, tincturing or for long term storage.

Ginseng Seeds

We offer "stratified" ginseng seeds in late July. These seeds were harvested from berries picked last year and have been buried in the ground to "stratify". Stratified ginseng seeds will sprout the first spring after planting. One pound of ginseng seeds contains approx. 7500 seeds. Catoctin Mtn Botanicals ginseng seeds are treated to resist disease before they are shipped.
